The singer and his girlfriend, 22-year-old Teshya Rae Weisent, were leaving a recording studio in Houston when the car accident occurred.

God made me apart of a new movement making history with my other best friend and bother Shazam Conner. It was an honor to be apart of the come back for H Town. Both Dino and Teshya Weisent were killed. Three people witnessed the tragedy, but all fled the scene. One man, Juan Diaz, was later apprehended. At the time, H-Town was working on what would become their fourth album. H-Town finally released their reunion album, Imitations of Life, on October 12, 2004.
